-In order to get to the rooms, one must walk through the dining room entrance. This may involve walking through a wedding reception.
I spent 4 nights at Club Continental and enjoyed every minute of it. I stayed in the French room. Beautiful room and wonderful view of the river. Kathy made a very tasty breakfast cake and was super efficient. Wish I had her recipe. Breakfast in general was delicious and far above the customary meals provided. Daniel was very accommodating with my ever changing schedule for dinner. Sandra made me feel like I was home. This bed and breakfast is wonderful and I hope to return soon.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at The Club Continental. I spent a Saturday and a Sunday night in the Mexican Room.
-Room and facility were very clean.
-Many convenience stores nearby for last-minute items.
-There are many more breakfast options Tuesday-Friday, so those staying over the weekend only get the options I listed above. That was a bummer. I ate cereal and toast.
-Parking was plentiful.
-Complimentary coffee, tea, pastries, cereal, assorted fruit, and scrambled egg stuff for breakfast.
Went to a wedding here, was delightful, very nice atmosphere, tho can't comment on the hotel since I did not stay
Cons:
-There are hardly any wall outlets and most of them are taken up by lamps, AC units, or are hidden behind furniture. I recommend visitors bring their own extension cords or surge protectors.
-The water in the shower was either freezing cold or lava hot. There was no in between. There was a brief moment when I thought it was okay, only to be scalded by liquid fire. In order to comfortably bathe I stood outside the water stream and just splashed myself to rinse off. Maybe I wasn’t using the knobs correctly? Who knows? I was going to mention this to an employee but no one was in the office when I dropped my key off.
I attended a wedding at this particular venue. The location was gorgeously decorated and although it rained the inside ceremony was still lovely. The food was fantastic and the bar tender staff lovely. Was a great experience and I look into possibly using this same venue for when my husband and I renew our vows.
Very beautiful and calmly atmosphere. Enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Desert was over the top, creme brulee, with fresh fruit. The servers were very polite and efficient. Had a wonderful time.
-Beautiful view of the river.
-There is a pool (though I didn’t get to swim because it was cold outside).
-There doesn’t seem to be an elevator. Weird.
Pros:
-Kind of pricey? (This is entirely my opinion.)
