This firm is incompetent, greedy and dishonest. (They don't even deserve one star but I had to). I hired them for my divorce proceedings. I paid them a $2600 retainer, then they filed my paperwork. Then while I was waiting for my husband to be served, I went ahead and paid them the rest (as they told me it was a flat rate), another $3500. So while they continued to tell me they couldn't serve my husband because they couldn't find his address and it was my responsibility to find it, my husband had me served in South Carolina. After a hearing in SC, the judge ruled my case was going to continue in SC so I told Mrs. Hamilton I no longer needed her services and I wanted a refund, at least the last $3500 I had paid them. She not only refused, but then told me they wouldn't charge me for the remaining $3500 that I owed after already paying $6100. So they lied to look like they were doing me a favor. So basically all they did was file my divorce papers and felt that is was appropriate to keep $6100 of my money!!! They are thief's and liars! I went to the bar and filed a complaint, no one should be taken advantage of like that.

I hired this law firm to help me with a custody case. I'd been saving for a lawyer for nearly ten years, my ex has not let me see our children for ten years. I paid them $3800. In several mi the time I barely spoke with my attorney and the paperwork had to be done and redone again due to incompetence on the part of Mrs. Charlene Hamilton. In the end my ex received the shoddy paperwork but whomever Mrs. Hamilton hired to serve the papers never reported them served. It has been over a month and even thought my ex has received the paperwork it still does not show as served. After having another attorney review the things Mrs. Hamilton filed, numerous mistakes were made. She did absolutely no research on my case. In the end I send Mrs. Hamilton an email requesting that she remove herself from the case and refund me at least half of my money. She agreed to removed herself, but not to a refund. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income, it took me years to save for an attorney, years of heartache due to being separated from our children. And to have those dreams smashed by ignorance is greed is just heartbreaking. I am going to file a complaint with the bar and also see about taking this to small claims court. The poor should not be stepped on just because we are poor. It is absolutely shameful how this firm treats disabled veterans. I don't know how long it's going to take to save the money again, by then the kids will be grown, all those years, stolen. I would advise anyone, especially veterans, to look somewhere else for representation.
Not the easiest place to find? Once inside the waiting room was not very inviting? During free consultation, i felt very rushed and not understood!
