The best place to get honey walnut shrimp. Nice decor.

But...is it 'Chinese' as their slogan claims. Not for me. On the stretch it is Chinese (Asian?)-Marketed-Asian-American fast food in the style of Panda Express (cuisine). In my opinion.

For example, I found two dishes out of four I have tried lacking any real flavor (specially the black pepper chicken, which also felt rubbery), but not really offending. I didn't feel the need to add any sauces, just wanted to experience what came out. Otherwise every dish could taste like the sauces and all will be almost homogeneous. But, perhaps it was low in salt. However, I cook low-in-salt without the peril of flavor-lacking results. Aaaaanyways.

My final note is that I still find Panda overpriced.

Not that you won't see me there again, just wanted to share my experience and my experiments.

The food is mostly prepared on site and does not offend. What's one step earlier is not known to me. However, it definitely lacks punch, in my opinion. Not just this locale, but in general.

This is an attractive clean location that has less traffic issues that seems to have from the main road (Blanding). At least on a weekday at lunch. The staff has been friendly the two or three times I have been in the last year. When no bugs are out, it is pleasant to sit outside (This outdoor area is surrounded by bug-attracting hedges).

Had to wait more then 20 minutes to get my after i ordered, but staff was very nice

One simple example is when I estimated how much a 'Rangoon' would cost me. Mind you, I don't have a building, employees, business insurance, etc. I also don't have a supper efficient 'Rangoon' stamping production line.

I suppose it is because it is designed to be middle-of-the-road. Perhaps another reason.

First time there. Good for the price. Good choices. Not quite the same as your local Chinese restaurant, but still a good choice.

-Stopped by here on our way back from Miami to Tallahassee. -Apparently we got there right at closing they stayed open let us eat and were just great

My estimate is around 10 cents for me here at home. Times 3 would be 30 cents. Say 50 cents per lot with the cost of heating the oil and using it one more time, washing the plate and using the oil-drying napkin. And it is freshly fried at home.

I realize the chicken is processed and I mostly welcome that in this case. Panda has sterilized the dangers of having real Chinese food made with mystery ingredients. This is the first food I mastered when becoming a home chef, since I liked it and got disgusted with all my choices at the time.
