Clean environment, Very skilled and trained stylist. Braids are on point. I will definitely continue getting my hair braided by Asiah.

First, I want to say that I am very disappointed in having to give a 1-star review. I strongly believe in supporting black businesses, but once again...I have encountered a black business owner that feels that punctuality and professionalism is optional. A customer service driven business should appeal and cater to PAYING customers by providing the highest standard of service. Not only was the salon not opened at the posted time, but when I called the owner, she told me that she "was on the way and stuck in traffic." I get that life happens, but as an owner of a business, you should plan accordingly to ensure that your place is open on time. Additionally, I had to wait over 20 minutes for the owner to arrive. I had decided to leave at that point. She called me and proceeded to ask if I had left and for a brief moment, I considered making a U-turn. I wanted to support our black businesses. Until she said "I have another appointment after you so..." I attempted to call her back and she did not answer the phone. I left a voicemail stating that I would not be returning. This was the highest level of unprofessionalism. Customers should not have to go above and beyond to PAY for a service. You cannot be late, unprofessional and RUDE and expect to be successful. This is very unfortunate because I am a very loyal customer, so had my impression been a favorable one, I would have solicited more customers and ensured that I returned. Oh, and I lost $50 because I upheld my end of the bargain and paid the non-refundable fee and SHOWED UP ON TIME for my appointment, but the owner didn't uphold the same standard for herself. In the end, I got no timely service and lost money.
Overcharged my disabled mother. Shame on them. $50 for something that you can get anywhere else for less than $20.
Only reason it has 5 stars is because the owner and daughter gave it that. For the prices the environment and quality needs to improve way better . Being it was my first time , the owner didn't have change for a customer so the lady had no choice but to pay more , but the owner than took the money to go buy fast food and pay for other things . She also was talking trash about other salons and people . They didn't even have the basic chairs or hair products or etc to do just the 3 clients there . , my hair didn't even last 2 weeks . They charged my card but waited to actually charge it day or so later than blew my line up about it saying I had to pay in a different way , even though my payment was cleared right after getting my hair done. I would not pay to ever go back or send anyone there , the mother was being rude to her daughter . She didn't even speak to me even though it was her shop but was staring at my head being done and speaking on my hair but would not even speak when I said hello . It's a hole in the wall and unprofessional
