Absolutely the worst experience I've had with car insurance and car repairs. This had been a 4 year battle! This company claims to be extremely professional but is filled with angry and rude individuals, with little to no real world power, so they take it out on policy holders. They claim to be proactive in getting your car returned to you, as if the damages never took place, but that's completely swat. You'll get your vehicle back eventually, and someone did some repair work to the affected area but it won't be 100% repaired. At best, they'll address 70% of the visible damages and claim it's just like new.
Spare yourself the heartache of a bad deal with an insurance magnate. I was quoted for Full coverage. Paid for full coverage, later found out they applied only a partial insurance coverage on my financed vehicle.. Choose a company like Farm B or another local agent.
Dealing with this insurance company has been a NIGHTMARE! Don't get in a car accident because the claims department is a complete JOKE! They are not willing to help you out unless you admit fault, even if the other insurer got a ticket for reckless driving. I have been without a car for over a month and they fail to realize that me not going to work means I can't pay their outrageous ($350 for ONE VEHICLE) insurance every month.
I have full coverage through Geico my grandmother has been with Geico for over 15 years and because I was on her policy once I got my own vehicle they gave me a great family rate. Every time I have ever needed to call customer service or had a question they have always been very polite very helpful. I honestly can't say enough about how wonderful their customer service is and how the whole experience has been. I would not be insured with any other company not only is there customer service absolutely wonderful their rates are extremely competitive. When I bought my new car and needed full coverage they were over a $100 cheaper than their nearest competitor. I will always be recommending my friends and family if you can I come because when it comes to service customer service and just overall policy they are second to none
So currently, I attempting to get GEICO to hold the repair shop responsible for their work and during the inspections by GEICO. Victor Frias, an area manager, vandalized my car several times. He scratched into the paint on the hood, attempting to make the spot bigger. I caught him the third time and asked why he was doing that, he just shrugged and stated "he wanted to know how bad it was". I told him that his company claims no responsibility for the hood damages that occurred during the repair process, so technically, he vandalized the paint job because he literally had no professional reason to touch that part of the car. After this, Mr.Frias became very unprofessional, very forceful and rude. He told me I he was in control and that no one else was going to help me and that his final determination is that none of these repairs fall under GEICO'S responsibility.
My experience with Geico has been awful! I was in a car accident over 3 weeks ago and as of today, an adjuster still has not inspected my car. I was told that my car was at coggin collision center waiting for an adjuster to take a look at it. Days went by of not hearing any updates I called Geico and was told that my adjuster was Christina Harris and was given her cell number. I called her and left her a voicemail requesting a call back. She called me the next day only to tell me that she did not have my claim and could not locate my car at Coggin but would help and stated that she would give me a call back. Christina called me back the same day and told me that my car had NEVER been transported to the collision center even though I had been told 2x by Geico that my car was at the collision center. I authorized Geico to pick up my car and the car eventually got transported to Coggin Collision on Tuesday. i was told that my adjuster would take a look at my car and it would take "2-3 business days." After not hearing anything I called Geico again and was told that my adjuster was not Christina, but was Jason Simms. I was given Jason's # and called him. I then was told that somehow my inspection was canceled and someone else was my adjuster, not Jason Simms, but Jason nole, and was given his #. I have now had my rental car for 24 days and was told I could only keep it for 30 yet my car hasnt even been looked at. I am extremely frustrated with their process, lack of communication and lack of a sense of urgency as well as poor customer service. My sister was in the exact same accident as myself one week after mine and her insurance (Progressive) has already inspected, totaled out her car and updated her on everything. I will be leaving Geico after this is all done with and finding a new insurance provider.
They expect you not to mention the car is painted two different colors because they didn't blend the paint job. That the bumper is literally sagging off the back of the car and the exhaust is uneven. They expect you not to mention the gaps between panels, chips in the paint on the hood, various new dings and dents, the broken door handles, scratched tint, broken center console, and broken window controls. They misaligned the window seal and caused the car to collect water inside the door when it rained. The shop that had my car used it as a Go-fer. They used all the gas in the car and ran the AC until there was literally no cold air conditioning. The inside of the vehicle must have been left open during body work because it was absolutely covering in a fine dust that was identified as bonding compound of some kind, which is used in vehicle repairs. I found a note pad with a list of parts in the car, not part for my car though, it also had notes about an uncooperative employee. The shop decided to speed through their storage lot which is covered in white gravel rocks. The adjuster noted their was no pre-existing damages upon intial inspection of the vehicle. So even GEICO has a record that their were no damages and then after using their ARX location, their were additional damages. The adjuster also decided not to repair the bent tie rod, claiming it wasn't effected by the accident. I was hit dead center in the right rear tire, at over 85 mph, spun out and they are claiming the tie rod, which controls the direction of the tires, was not affected whatsoever. So I had to come out of pocket $300 to have the repair done at Nissan, after fighting with GEICO about all the other items that were purely obvious and visible.
Avoid this company, their commercials are meant to distract from their terrible service. They claim 97% customer satisfaction, I wonder what group of people they paid for that statistic.
