I highly recommend anyone who is considering getting flowers for someone special, to do so through Park Avenue Florist. The staff is what makes the difference and I wasn't simply served, but satisfied. After discussing with Lauren the request of a designer Madi, I was able to get an arrangement done that is above and beyond my expectations. The arrangement was done with creative touch and warmth. The flowers were delivered promptly. I totally trusted her to come up with whatever she thought was best and Madi made it happen. If you are considering a florist to go to, you'd be remiss not to use them and ask for the designer Madi--she's awesome! Flowers were beautiful and most importantly, appreciated greatly by the recipient.
I had my first and very unpleasant experience with this shop yesterday. I work all day and do not check my voicemail. When I got home at 5 pm yesterday, I checked my voicemail and it was a lady from the flower shop saying she was trying to deliver flowers for me and front office told her to take them up to my apt and leave them at the door. Odd, because there was no flowers at my door when I got home. Just to make sure that I did not miss them, I opened the door and looked again. No flowers, but 2 doors down I see a small vase with flowers sitting on the floor, so I walk over to look at the card and low and behold, my name and address. Not only were they delivered to the wrong address(address on the card was correct) but they had been dropped, vase broken, water spilled and flowers looking like garbage. Upon checking the card I realized it was from my sister for International Women's Day, so I call her to thank her and tell her what happened and show her a picture of what I received. She was sooo mad not only because they ruined the flowers, but because what came was nowhere near as nice as what she paid for. I read through all of the reviews and it seems that they do not have the best reputation, but I do hope that they read these reviews and decide to step up their game a little because with so much competition out there and shops providing better service and better flowers, they could end up losing a lot of customers.
